Born and raised in Houma, Louisiana, Johanna is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi before being admitted to practice in Mississippi in 1994. In addition to practicing law in Mississippi, she is licensed in her home state of Louisiana. Johanna is a seasoned civil litigator whose practice focuses on appellate advocacy, insurance defense, collections, premises liability, and MCTA actions. Johanna represents insurers, businesses, and individuals in complex disputes from pre-suit investigation through appeal.

In the appellate arena, Johanna crafts persuasive briefs and presents focused arguments in state and federal courts. Her insurance defense practice spans automobile, general liability, and property claims. Johanna advises and represents creditors in consumer and commercial collection matters, navigating the ever-changing regulatory requirements.

In premises liability litigation, Johanna defends property owners and state agencies against claims involving alleged unsafe conditions, negligent security and management.
