Hired Law firm 2016-2021After reading these two opinions I now know FOR SURE that I am not the only person to have been treated unethically by Reed Bennett’s lack of doing his job the represent his clients. I’m 72 years Olaf snd now, due to this ‘attorney’ have no medical coverage on my knee that wa as severely injured. There’s NEVER any communication of any kind concerning my case. I did get a message that he’d taken a 7 month medical leave and sadly his mother was very ill. I’ve tried to contact him but AGAIN there is NEVER a response.

Hired Law firm 2020-2022He took my money to support his crystal meth habit. Never once did he file anything and didn't show up for court. Called 45 minutes before court and said he was going to rehab. Careless waste of oxygen that should be disbarred in LA and MS. I cant wait to see him in public. He sells drugs from a bar in downtown Long Beach MS. That twitch he has isn't a medical condition. Its his drug usage. He will never answer a call, return a text or respond to a voicemail.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
