Consulted Law firm 2022-2023A false petition (property damage beyond normal wear & tear) lease violation was filed to expedite an eviction. Was only 6 days late on rent. Requested Reasonable Accommodations which was ignored. So not only was a false lease violation submitted to a court of law but my rights as a disabled person were violated. I’ll be taking the matter back to court but will also contact the Mo Bar Association to report this matter. I knew something wasn’t right with this eviction process so I’ve done research. Figured it out & I Thank God I kept EVERY correspondence with the Links during the process. Even have Boone County Sheriff’s Dept to verify the property had NO damage, took time stamp pics of the property the day I got the notice. Most people would let it go but an unlawful eviction can be devastating to a disabled person that was 6 days late on rent, communicated consistently with management & asked to pay rent but was forcibly put out of a residence based on a LIE. I know Steve Scott doesn’t care about how his actions affect those that are beneath him but I am still human. I actually want a meeting just to ask why? There is not a NO button on the recommend question but NO I would not recommend this law firm to anyone

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
