A native Kansan, Alexander attended the University of Kansas, in Lawrence, Kansas, graduating in the top ten percent of his class in 2006 with a B.A. in Slavic Languages and Literature. Alexander went on to earn his M.A. in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies there in 2008. Alexander subsequently studied law at the University of Kansas School of Law, graduating with his J.D. in the top ten percent of his class in 2014. While he was in law school, Alexander interned with the Finney County Attorney in Garden City, Kansas, and with the American Chamber of Commerce in the Republic of Georgia.
Alexander is married and has a daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing chess, studying languages, reading, and traveling.
