Attorney Information
Overview
Attorney Kevin Case has spent more than 30 years prosecuting and defending the interests of local government, licensed professionals, and diverse members of the local, regional, national and international business community: retail, agriculture, construction, manufacturing, insurance and transportation.
As his practice grew, he recognized the need for a Firm with like-minded attorneys. In 2001, he founded the Firm that is now Case Linden. In 2020, Mr. Case stepped down as Managing Partner of the Firm to return full-time to the courtroom.
In Kansas, his trial record includes significant victories from all corners of the State and in each of its federal courthouses located in Kansas City, Topeka and Wichita.
In Missouri, he has recorded jury trial wins in the courthouses in Columbia, Hillsboro, Independence, Kansas City, Liberty, Springfield, and both the City and County of St. Louis.
Mr. Case's litigation record includes the successful defense of hundreds of employers in a myriad of employment claims under state and federal anti-discrimination and retaliation statutes such as the Missouri Human Rights Act, the ADA, ADEA, FMLA and Title VII.
He has defended numerous catastrophic claims involving wrongful death and traumatic brain injuries arising from industrial accidents, defective products and a variety of other transportation accidents.
He has represented professionals in various claims of malpractice including those in the medical profession and his peers in the legal profession.
Mr. Case's public service extends beyond the Firm. He was appointed assistant attorney general by two different attorneys general. He served in an elected office in municipal government, as a member and chairman of a planning and zoning commission, and as a judge to resolve disputes arising from a Kansas City-area public housing authority. Two mayors appointed him to serve as board trustee for one of the largest acute care hospitals in the Kansas City metropolitan area that employed more than 3,000 employees where he served on board committees with oversight of professional management and litigation.
Mr. Case is married and resides in Kansas City.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
