In addition, he is a recipient of the Founder's Award and Sole Practitioner of the Year Award of the Section of General Practice. He was a writer of ABA Model Rule 1.17 and Missouri's Rule 4.1.17 regarding Sale of A Law Practice. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Association.
On the local level, Alan E. DeWoskin served as chair of MoBar General Practice Committee and the Bar Association of St. Louis (BAMSL) Section of Sole and Small Firm Lawyers. He was a member of the Executive Committee of BAMSL and received the BAMSL President's Award. He is a member of the Missouri Bar Foundation and a Distinguished Fellow of the St. Louis Bar Foundation.
Mr. DeWoskin received his A.B. in 1962 and his J.D. in 1965 from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Before entering his law practice, he served 2 years on active duty with the United States Army. He continued his reserve activities and retired in 1992 with the rank of COL. Among his decorations, he was awarded the United States Legion of Merit.
