Emily C. O'Connor - St. Louis, MO

Emily's practice includes representing railroads in Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) cases as well as doctors, nurses, and hospitals in medical malpractice litigation.

While in law school, Emily dedicated her time and talents to the law review. Emily became a Staff Member her 2L year and during her 3L year held the External Article Editor position on the Law Review Board. Emily was also one of only four students who set up the NIU College of Law Health Advocacy Clinic, which is medical-legal partnership that helps individuals receiving medical care with socio-environmental barriers affecting their health and stability. Emily was a class representative of the Student Bar Association her 2L and 3L year. Emily was also a proud member of Delta Theta Phi, the nation's premier law Fraternity. If asked, Emily would have to say that the most exciting part of her legal education was the opportunity she was given to study European law in France.
