Overview
Thomas Murphy has provided award winning legal representation to thousands of injured clients throughout Montana for over 32 years. Thomas Murphy is married to his lovely wife, Leslie and the father of three incredible sons, Mike, Matt and Tommy.
Thomas J. Murphy graduated from the University of Montana Law School in 1985. He founded Murphy Law Firm in 1998, after 12 years of litigation practice with a large law firm in Great Falls. Mr. Murphy practices before State and Federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. In addition, he is the Co-Chairman of the Montana Trial Lawyers Workers Compensation Section and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Montana Trial Lawyers Association (MTLA). On the National level, Mr. Murphy serves on the Board of the Directors for the Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG). WILG is comprised of approximately one thousand workers' compensation attorneys fighting for the rights of injured workers across the United States.
Thomas Murphy is the Recipient of the Montana Trial Lawyers Association Appellate Advocacy Award.
Thomas Murphy was recognized by WILG as one the nation's top 100 injured workers' attorneys.
Thomas Murphy was inducted as a Fellow in The College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers. He is the first lawyer in Montana to be inducted as a Fellow into The College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers.
