Emily Newcomb was born and raised right here in the heartland in her hometown of Gretna, Nebraska. She graduated from Gretna High School and attended Creighton University, graduating Magna Cum Laude as a Biology and History major with minors in Science and Medicine in Society and Environmental Science. Emily attended University of Nebraska College of Law and graduated with distinction in 2022, where she earned multiple CALI Excellence awards and the Criminal Clinic Student of the Semester.
One of Emily's many notable accomplishments is being a member of the Nebraska Law Review and holding the position of Executive Editor for two terms. Her most notable written work, Comment: Physician Aid in Dying: Physician-Assisted Suicide as a Constitutionally Protects Liberty Interest under the Nebraska Constitution, will be published in 2023 in Volume 101 of the Nebraska Law Review.
Emily's primary work focuses on those who have been injured in Nebraska and Iowa and need skilled representation for better outcomes. Her passion is representing medical malpractice victims, utilizing her her background in science and biology to help her clients through the intense and overwhelming process a case of that nature entails. Her practice primarily encompasses work in personal injury, medical malpractice, worker's compensation, and wrongful death.
Emily places her family as top priority in her life, and she enjoys spending as much meaningful time with her family members as she can. When she's not in wedding planning mode with her fiancé, she enjoys touring coffee shops and finding those best-kept secret places, attending concerts, and relaxing with her two cats at home.
