Overview
Robert Gonderinger's practice has been physically located in Omaha, Nebraska, his entire legal career, and he has been a member of his firm since 1990. He has represented businesses and lending institutions in a variety of transactional and lending-related matters, providing legal expertise and assistance to help clients accomplish their desired goals. With respect to business transactions, he has worked on acquisition and sales of businesses and also divisions or lines of business. Mr. Gonderinger is able to use his accounting and business background to assist clients as they focus on ways to capture and maximize value. His business clients range from those owned by one individual or family to employee owned entities structured through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). He has also represented corporations, business and lenders in a variety of commercial and business lending transactions. Lending clients have included banks, federal savings banks and credit unions of all size, insurance companies, and commercial finance companies. His work has covered the entire lending process, from loan evaluation and origination, to structuring and documentation, to collection. Representative lending transactions include revolving loans, term loans, letters of credit, and participated loans. Credit facilities include both unsecured loans and secured loans. He has served as counsel for commercial lenders and creditors in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters. Work outside of bankruptcy has included forbearance and loan restructuring and liquidation and sale (including real estate and a variety of collateral subject to the provisions of the UCC). He has testified as an expert on Nebraska commercial finance and loan liquidation matters. He graduated magna cum laude from Creighton University College of Law in 1982, and magna cum laude from St. John's University (MN) with a degree in accounting, and is a Certified Public Accountant certificate holder.
