5.0 out of 5 stars

Sometime around 2018, my wife and I were faced with the daunting task of finding the right lawyer to help us save our home from foreclosure. After an exhaustive search, we narrowed it down to two highly rated, well-educated, experienced lawyers. One of them is Atty Brock. We scheduled a preliminary consultation with Atty Brock, during which time he came across as not only very knowledgeable but surely an expert in his field, but more importantly, he came across as someone who understood what we were going through and that he could solve our problem. During the preparation of the casework, he displayed the utmost patience with our lack of understanding of what we needed to do or what documentation we needed to provide. He was very meticulous, and methodical. We were impressed and very thankful. During the entire 3-year process, Atty Brock remained the same; steady, professional, confident, and caring. Communication with him either by phone (sometimes during off hours), text, or email was excellent. For example, at one time he was on vacation with his family, I believe in Florida and yet took the time to respond to a panic-ridden email from me. We received a full discharge without any hitch or unexpected events, exactly as he mapped out for us during the initial consultation. We are now free of the shackles of the predatory-lending 2nd mortgage and on the road to financial recovery. THANKS TO ATTY BROCK. For anyone needing the best legal representation, Atty Brock should be on the top of your list of lawyers to interview.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
