Hired Law firm 2021-2022When I was in my car accident I was very worried, COVID was in full swing. I did not know who to call or what to do. I decided to call Mark Henness. I was not even out of my doctor's office before they were calling my doctor to make sure things were going ok. Leanne Carter called me as I was leaving the doctor at 5:30pm and was making arrangements for me to get the treatment I needed, I was home 20 minutes when Mr. Henness called me at home, he was at his child's soccer game but still took the time to call to make sure I was OK and to ask if I had any questions. We handled all paperwork electronically and many phone calls were handled after work hours to meet my time schedule. Any questions or concerns I had were handled quickly, professionally and with me completely in mind. At one time I was a bit depressed and they recognized that and sent me a letter of encouragement. I can not believe how well they treated me, my well being truly came first, my mental health was just as much a concern as my physical health. I know they care about their customers. They covered all the bases, they negotiated not just with the insurance company but also the medical bills. Bot only do I recommend them, I would warn you to not go any place else.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
