Attorney Information

Overview

Daniel J. McAdorey moved to Las Vegas as a child and has considered Southern Nevada home ever since. He attended Shadow Ridge High School before earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Law at Arizona State. He later attended Chapman University School of Law.

Mr. McAdorey became licensed to practice law in Nevada in 2020 and was admitted to practice in federal court in 2022. He began his legal career at a plaintiff-side personal injury firm, where he spent approximately two years representing injured individuals. He then gained valuable defense-side experience working for a major insurance company, where he learned how insurance carriers evaluate, defend, and litigate injury claims.

In 2022, Mr. McAdorey joined Gillock & Coggeshall permanently. He now represents plaintiffs exclusively and handles a wide variety of personal injury matters, including medical malpractice, motor vehicle collision claims, insurance bad faith matters, premises liability cases. Mr. McAdorey feels especially passionate about cases where he has the privilege of helping clients with special needs or cognitive disabilities.

Mr. McAdorey has worked on hundreds of personal injury cases and has experience with depositions, arbitrations, mediations, motion practice, expert discovery, and trial. He has also been involved in cases resulting in seven-figure verdicts and eight-figure settlements. His prior defense experience gives him a practical understanding of how defendants and insurers approach litigation, which he now uses to advocate for injured plaintiffs.

Outside of work, Mr. McAdorey enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and watching baseball.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
