Attorney Information

Overview

Kristina was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She attended high school at the Southern Nevada Vocational-Technical School obtaining a Secretarial Science certificate and graduating fifth in her senior class. After high school, Kristina attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) on a Nevada Gaming Scholarship and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

During high school, when she was 16, she obtained her first position in the legal field as an assistant to a solo practitioner. Kristina worked various jobs in the legal field during high school including as a scanner and runner. Kristina obtained a scholarship and began a degree program at UNLV. During her undergraduate years at UNLV, Kristina continued to work as a legal assistant for a small law firm.

After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree, Kristina left the legal field briefly to intern in the management program at Mervyn’s. However, the retail field was not suited to Kristina and she missed the legal field. Thus, a year after graduating UNLV, she went back to work as a legal assistant for a sole practitioner. During the next three years, Kristina furthered her legal education by obtaining an Advanced Legal Secretary certificate and a Paralegal Certificate from UNLV. In 1998, it was announced that UNLV was opening its first law school. Kristina applied to UNLV’s William S. Boyd Law School and was accepted in 1998 as a member of the Charter Class.

Kristina continued working as a legal assistant and law clerk full-time, while attending law school part-time in the evenings. Kristina graduated the Boyd Law School in 2002, obtaining her Juris Doctorate in four years. Kristina was admitted to the Nevada Bar that same year.

Kristina’s work as an attorney has focused on personal injury and civil and business litigation. She worked for a well-known trial attorney, Robert Vannah, Esq. for six years learning all aspects of personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death and insurance bad faith cases from the beginning of the case, through trial and even representing clients on appeal. In 2007, Kristina left to help another lawyer start a personal injury firm. That firm was not successful and Kristina found a position with another well-known criminal and civil trial attorney, Peter S. Christiansen, Esq. Kristina worked with Mr. Christiansen for four years before joining Glenn H. Truitt, Esq. to focus on the growth of his practice in the areas of personal injury and both civil and business litigation. After working with Mr. Truitt to grow his firm from two attorneys and a secretary, to two offices, four attorneys and nine staff, Mr. Truitt purchased Half Price Lawyers. Kristina decided it was time to start her own practice. In August of 2013, she opened Weller Law focusing on various areas including personal injury, civil cases, contracts and interpleaders. She also started Weller Consulting focusing on helping firms get organized, be efficient and increase productivity. She trains staff and attorneys on ways to manage their case load, deadlines and case management software.

From March of 2015 until February of 2026, Kristina worked at the Richard Harris Law Firm. This firm has a primary focus on personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. She was responsible for the exclusive handling of over 400 cases including interpleader actions, miscellaneous civil actions, evaluation and overview of medical malpractice and mass tort cases, minors’ compensation cases, referred out and attorney lien cases, resolving cases, file audits, probate cases, bankruptcy cases, guardianship matters and finding missing clients to provide their funds. Kristina was also responsible for providing tracking information to management, creating reports, revising and creating policies and procedures, updating and creating merge forms and training staff and attorneys.

In February of 2026, Kristina joined H&P Law continuing to practice in the areas of personal injury, insurance bad faith, personal injury and life insurance interpleader actions, pre-litigation cases, minors’ compensation cases, referred out and attorney lien cases, probate cases, and guardianship matters. Kristina is also responsible for managing the case management system and creating and providing merge forms; and training staff and attorneys.

Kristina has three daughters, a granddaughter and a grandson.
