Michael Lafia - Las Vegas, NV

Michael Lafia grew up in Michigan in a community where his father practiced as a cardiologist and his mother worked as a nurse. Michael then went off to study and play football at Yale University. One day after football practice, his teammates started calling him “Lobo” (Spanish for wolf) because of his personality and the nickname has stuck with him ever since. Michael moved to Las Vegas and attended law school at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law. During law school, Michael won the award for highest grade/top student for three of his law school classes and was voted by his classmates as “Most Likely to Host Their Own Courtroom Television Show.” During the summer after his first year of law school, he then served as a judicial extern in Nevada District Court for the Honorable James Bixler. Through that experience, Michael learned first-hand how the justice system operates and how important it is to have a strong attorney fighting for one’s legal rights. While enrolled in his last year of law school, he worked as a clerk at the law firm of Eglet Wall where he found his true career passion in the field of personal injury law.

After graduating from law school, Michael then learned the important aspects and strategies of personal injury law while working as an attorney for the law firm of Prince and Keating. During this time, he developed his skills by defended personal injury cases for some of the nation’s largest insurance companies and corporations while being mentored by Dennis Prince. This experience provided Michael with valuable insight and knowledge into the legal strategies and tactics that these large corporations use to their advantage to defend personal injury cases and reduce the amount of money that victimized people can recover for their injuries. After obtaining this valuable experience from the other side, Michael changed the direction of his career and decided to help injured people. Michael now uses this past experience to the benefit of his clients through his efforts to get the most value for each case and to ensure that all of his clients receive elite legal representation.
