Overview
Stacy Rocheleau is the founder and managing partner of Right Divorce Lawyers in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has over 18 years of experience helping clients navigate their divorce, legal separation, uncontested divorce, or child custody issue. Presently, Stacy has taken a hiatus from Right Divorce Lawyers to serve as a Family Court Judge for Department W. A position she was elected to serve in 2020.
Stacy has earned an excellent reputation with opposing attorneys and family court judges. After practicing in family court for almost two decades, other attorneys and judges know Stacy. They know she is honest, they know she is tough, they know she is always prepared, and they know she will advocate for her client’s rights.
“Sincere, intelligent, and determined” is how Stacy’s clients often describe her. She is never one to mince words. She will tell you her thoughts about your case; good and bad. Stacy prepares for for every scenario. Some may say she prepares too much. But Stacy’s philosophy is when dealing with life-changing outcomes, being over prepared is better than the alternative.
For over a decade Stacy has been voted one of the top divorce attorneys in Las Vegas. Her determination for uncovering important issues, and ability to negotiate a resolution has been key to her success. She has no qualms going to trail, but when appropriate she is open for negotiating for a final decree of divorce. This often saves client’s time, money, and protects them from the stress of litigation.
Asked her biggest challenge to date and Stacy will point to raising three teenage daughters. Studying for bar exams, orchestrating divorce trials, handling hostile depositions, or arguing with other lawyers pales in comparison to mediating disputes over three daughters borrowing shoes or makeup without asking.
Stacy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Whittier College in 1991. She went on to earn her law degree from the University of San Diego School Of Law in 1996. Stacy is admitted to practice law in the State of Nevada. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Federal District Court and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
