Hired Attorney 2021-2022Steve Evenson took my money and did nothing for me. I do not want anyone else to experience what I did. Paid to be ignored.

Hired Attorney 2018-2020Attorney Steve Evenson represented me on a tricky criminal charge and was able to professionally untangle it. Although it took some time, I am extremely grateful that he was able to represent me without any problems, especially considering my residence was in another state far from Nevada and my presence was not ever required. He communicated clearly with me and kept me updated throughout the entire process. His fees were quite reasonable, they were a fraction of what some other attorneys had previously quoted. He is an extremely competent attorney who likes to win all of the cases he accepts. I hereby give Attorney Steve Evenson my highest recommendation possible.

Hired Attorney 2018-2020Over 2 and a half years ago I hired Steve E. Evenson of Evenson Law Firm. He didn't just become my lawyer, he became a friend! Steve not only met my expectations, he exceeded my expectations by a thousand miles! Steve may not be the cheapest but he is the BEST! My point to all this is, if you need a Defense Attorney in Nevada, specifically the Reno and surrounding area, Evenson Law Firm needs to be your first and only call, 775-428-1967 P.S. Only call if you're interested in winning!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
