Overview
Ryan is an experienced civil litigator and a member of the firm’s business litigation and bankruptcy practice group. He has represented companies in complex commercial litigations and securities fraud cases in state and federal courts. Ryan has helped businesses and entities navigate a variety of disputes, including contract disputes, construction litigation, Chapter 11 litigation, and real estate litigation. He has experience in every aspect of the litigation process from discovery through trial.
Representative matters include:
- Represented members of LLC in $1 million investment fraud case, obtaining significant summary judgment decision
- Represented purchaser in Chapter 11 sale of assets of an innovative textile company, successfully defending challenges of the sale in several forums, including the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the First Circuit
- Represented non-profit school in successful construction arbitration, obtaining award for hundreds of thousands of dollars relating to construction defects.
Before joining Sheehan Phinney, Ryan was an attorney at Goodwin Procter LLP. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph A. DiClerico Jr. and the Honorable Landya McCafferty of the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire.
