Overview

Kerin has practiced law throughout Massachusetts since 2003, concentrating in residential and commercial real estate, construction, collections, and childrens’ rights litigation. She now represents individuals, businesses, lenders, and other stakeholders in complex residential and commercial matters throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Prior to returning to private practice, Kerin served as Senior Vice President at Rockland Trust and Enterprise Bank for 15 years where she gained extensive legal and operational experience. After more than a decade of driving internal legal operations for major financial institutions, Kerin developed a sophisticated understanding of commercial, regulatory, and risk-management considerations that surround lending and real estate transactions.

Kerin leverages this unique legal and financial background to provide practical, strategic counsel to serve her clients’ interests. This experience includes her extensive representation and management of complex commercial, residential, and construction loan workouts, as well as creditors’ rights, commercial collections, bankruptcy, foreclosure and loan restructuring.

In addition, Kerin has been a longstanding advocate for education and childrens’ rights. She has served on boards and nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting children, families, and local communities. She is actively involved with the Hampstead Mothers’ Club and its efforts to support local schools and community initiatives.

A native of Raynham, Massachusetts, Kerin resides in Hampstead, New Hampshire with her husband and their two children. Outside of her practice, Kerin enjoys exploring nature, hiking, and traveling with her family.

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
