Overview

Thomas J. Bean, Esq. is a family law attorney at Weinberger Divorce & Family Law Group, LLC. Mr. Bean is an experienced and highly accomplished legal advocate who has handled countless family and matrimonial matters in his career, including divorce, child custody, child support, domestic violence, adoption, post-judgment modifications, enforcement of family court orders, and other related family law matters.

Mr. Bean’s choice to focus his practice exclusively on family law comes from his deep affinity for guiding individuals through difficult family law issues with sound legal advice and compassionate communication. Drawing upon over a decade of experience in family law, Mr. Bean understands how to skillfully select the optimal strategy and legal arguments for his clients’ family law matters, including sensitive child custody issues. Mr. Bean is committed to delivering zealous representation and strives to achieve the best possible results for his clients, whether through litigation or settlement.

Mr. Bean previously worked in a variety of areas including municipal law, criminal law, bankruptcy law, real estate law, estate planning and administration, civil litigation, and family litigation. This broad background has provided Mr. Bean with crucial knowledge of other areas of law which often intersect with family practice, enabling Mr. Bean to provide more comprehensive counsel to his clients when issues relating to these areas of law arise during the divorce process.

Mr. Bean is a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law. During his time in law school, he interned with two New Jersey Superior Court judges as well as prosecutor’s offices in New Jersey and New York. Mr. Bean began his career as a judicial law clerk to Hon. Ronald L. Reisner, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Criminal Division, Monmouth Vicinage. Mr. Bean’s time as an intern and as a judicial law clerk allowed him to develop a close familiarity with the operations of the court system and deepened his understanding of New Jersey law and its application to cases and issues before the court.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Bean graduated from Villanova University. While in college, Mr. Bean participated in internships with a tax law and economic advisory firm in London, UK and with the United Nations Environment Program in Geneva, Switzerland, while also completing coursework at the London School of Economics. Mr. Bean’s educational background assists him in analyzing the financial aspects of divorce, including the calculation of support obligations and the valuation of business interests, in order to secure positive economic outcomes for his clients.

Mr. Bean has a longstanding connection to Monmouth County, having attended Christian Brothers Academy for high school and having spent several years working as an intern and law clerk in the Monmouth County Courthouse as well as for other law firms in the area.

Mr. Bean is admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey and the District Court of New Jersey. Mr. Bean volunteers as an Early Settlement Panelist in Middlesex County.
