Attorney Information

Overview

Julie A. Rich, Esq. is an attorney at Weinberger Divorce & Family Law Group, LLC, licensed to practice family law in both New Jersey and New York. Julie provides highly experienced representation to clients in all of their family and matrimonial law matters, including divorce, child custody, parenting time, support, equitable distribution, domestic violence, and post-judgment disputes.

Whether she is helping a client navigate the end of a marriage, resolve a complex custody issue, secure important assets, or obtain legal protections for their safety, Julie recognizes that family law matters carry both significant legal consequences and deeply personal implications that shape family relationships, financial stability, and her clients’ ability to plan for the future. It is this understanding that drives her commitment to providing thoughtful guidance, tireless advocacy, and practical solutions that empower clients to move forward with confidence.

Julie is drawn to family law because it offers the opportunity to “do the most good” during some of life’s most challenging moments. Known for her calm and approachable demeanor, Julie helps clients find clarity amid uncertainty by explaining legal options in straightforward language, answering questions thoroughly, and remaining accessible throughout the process. She is a firm believer that the best decisions are made when clients have a clear understanding of their rights, responsibilities, and the road ahead.

Julie approaches every matter with careful preparation, attention to detail, and a genuine investment in achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients. She develops strategic, results-oriented solutions tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and remains focused on protecting their interests at every stage of the process. Whether issues are resolved through negotiation, mediation, or litigation, Julie works diligently to help clients build a stable foundation for the future

As a practicing family law attorney in both New Jersey and New York, Julie is particularly well-positioned to assist individuals whose personal, professional, or financial lives overlap these jurisdictions. Whether one or both spouses work or own property in New York, or custody and parenting time matters cross state lines, Julie provides skilled and experienced guidance through these complexities.

Julie earned her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she interned with the Essex-Newark Legal Services Family Law Unit and served as a student attorney in Seton Hall’s Center for Social Justice Family Law Clinic. Through these opportunities, she gained valuable hands-on experience advocating for individuals facing complex family law challenges while developing the compassionate, client-centered approach that defines her practice.

Following graduation, Julie clerked for the Honorable Marcia L. Silva, J.S.C. (Ret.), in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Middlesex County, Family Part. Her clerkship provided a unique behind-the-scenes perspective on judicial decision-making, courtroom procedure, and the factors that influence family court outcomes – insights that continue to benefit her clients today.

Over the course of her career, Julie has earned numerous honors and peer recognitions for her dedication to family law. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Family Law in both New Jersey and New York Metro, named a Top Women Lawyer in New York Metro, included in The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch for Family Law, and recognized by Bergen Magazine as a Top Lawyer in Matrimonial & Family Law.

Outside of the office, Julie is a passionate fan of professional baseball, a sport that reflects many of the same qualities she brings to her practice: strategic preparation, quick thinking, resilience, and determination.
