Hired Law firm 2024-2025Jennifer Flatow was a breath of fresh air during a very scary and dangerous time for me. As a victim of domestic abuse, it was hard for me to finally ask for help and beat the cycle of abuse but she encouraged me and checked in with me consistently from the time of the filing date and even after the final hearing. She validated my feelings and encouraged me to tell my story and never hide from my truth. I can never thank her enough for what she has done for my son and I. I will always recommend her for any family law cases. Thank you Jennifer!

Hired Law firm 2022-2023Jennifer hands down is the best lawyer I could have found. We were in a horrible custody situation. Where I was under supervision conditions that gave my ex wife the power to do what ever she wanted. Many times she would legally deny my time with our kids. Jennifer took my case and fought tooth and nail for us. Jennifer gave sound strategic advice to help my kids and I become a family where we can now go to Disney. We overcame huge obstacles like poorly written previous agreements, vague consent orders with infinite loops, and a horrible previous evaluation. It was like the world was stacked against us. Jennifer fought hard for us and worked with us to make sure that both my children and I would be in the best situation possible. I used to barely be able see my children. Now I get to be a dad and we enjoy several days and nights through out the week together. My children smile now knowing they can call me to play and we can go. 10/10 recommend

My lawyer, Ashley Cooper, guided me and helped me getting back my parental rights. The whole team supported me and helped during the whole process. I am grateful and thankful for Weinberg and Copper. How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
