Overview

Mr. Ridgway has been advising clients in a variety of business transactions, contract negotiations and litigation for over 25 years. Mr. Ridgway also has a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in management which enables him to understand and provide unique insight into the opportunities and challenges of business owners and operators. He has worked with companies in connection with business transactions and joint ventures, acquisition of real estate, financing, leasing, securing riparian rights, private equity investments, sale and purchase of business organizations and assets, senior management and employment agreements, non-competes and other matters critical to his clients' objectives and success. Mr. Ridgway also represents and advises select non-profit and charitable organizations.

In addition to his business practice, Mr. Ridgway works with municipal entities including serving as solicitor to a Utility Authority and Planning Boards.

As a former litigator, he has appeared in all levels of the New Jersey Superior Court including obtaining a successful landmark ruling for his client in the Supreme Court of New Jersey in J&M Land Co. v. First Union National Bank, 166 N.J. 493 (2001) which involved the complex interpretation of statutes and common law and resolved the procedures to establish title to real estate through "Adverse Possession".

Mr. Ridgway has been frequently appointed by the Superior Court of New Jersey to act in various fiduciary capacities including hotel operation and sale, disposition of real estate and other complex and sensitive matters. Mr. Ridgway has been appointed to serve as a commissioner in condemnation matters with the responsibility to establish the value of real estate subject to public acquisition.
