Elizabeth Vinhal - Livingston, NJ

Elizabeth has been selected as a Super Lawyer from 2015 to the present. Elizabeth was the former co-chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the New Jersey State Bar, as well as the former Editor-in-Chief of the Morris Lawyer, Morris County Bar Association’s legal newsletter, and has been an editor of the New Jersey Family Lawyer, a prestigious family law publication for several years. She has worked as an adjunct professor in the conflict management department at Seton Hall University School of Law, and also serves as a panelist for the Morris County Early Settlement Panel. She is a frequent lecturer on family law topics for the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Education, and has participated in several panels addressing family law matters.

Elizabeth is a court approved mediator and has been appointed by the Superior Court of New Jersey as a Guardian Ad Litem and parent coordinator in high conflict matters. She also volunteers for the Jersey Battered Women’s Services, helping those in need.

Before becoming of counsel with Ziegler Law Group LLC, Elizabeth was a partner at Schwartz, Vinhal and Lomurro from 2013-2022. Prior to she was counsel at a prominent Morris County firm as a member of the firm’s matrimonial law and appellate department. Early in her law career, she served as law clerk to the Honorable Robert A. Fall, Judge of the Appellate Division, and to the Honorable Ronald Lee Reisner, Monmouth County, Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Division.

Over the course of her career, she has argued and/or been part of several published opinions including, but not limited to Donnelly v. Donnelly, 405 N.J. Super. 117 (App.Div.2009) and Poluhovich v Pellerano, 373 N.J. Super 310 (App. Div. 2004). She has also authored several articles including: Stepparents: The Unexpected Impact They Can Have On the Primary Parent’s Decisions Regarding the Children (New Jersey Family Lawyer Magazine, 2011), Involuntary Loss of Employment in this “New Economy”: A Temporary Change of Circumstance or the Basis for Modification? (New Jersey Family Lawyer Magazine, 2010), and Parental Alienation: The Quandary Lawyers and Judges Face (New Jersey Family Lawyer Magazine, (2007).

Elizabeth earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School, her Master’s Degree in counseling psychology from New York University and her B.A. from Boston College.
