ALIX R. RUBIN concentrates her practice in employment law, focusing on helping her clients resolve their disputes cost effectively and with as little disruption to their businesses, and lives, as possible. Ms. Rubin counsels businesses in best employment practices to help them prevent lawsuits and litigates on their behalf to favorably resolve disputes. She also negotiates employment and severance agreements on behalf of executives and professionals and represents employees who have serious disputes with their employers.

Ms. Rubin has published on a variety of employment law topics. She is active in various organizations, including Volunteer Lawyers for Justice, where she was named 2003 Pro Bono Attorney of the Year and currently serves on the Board of Trustees. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Wharton Club of New Jersey and served a four-year term on the New Jersey Supreme Court District V-C Ethics Committee.

After graduating magna cum laude from Tufts University, Ms. Rubin pursued a Master of Journalism degree from Temple University. She honed her listening, interviewing and writing skills as a public relations practitioner and journalist before earning a J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Ms. Rubin began her legal career as a general litigator, but soon incorporated employment law into her practice and has focused on it almost exclusively in recent years. She was a litigation associate at two major New Jersey firms, Hannoch Weisman and Lowenstein Sandler PC, and a partner at the New Jersey office of a small New York firm, Entwistle & Cappucci LLP.
