Attorney Information

Overview

Bill, in speaking of his plaintiffs personal injury clients, says, "I have sat in the living room of parents as they shared the tragic circumstances of their teenage daughter’s death, watched as a physical therapist coaxed a neurologically impaired child to feed herself, listened to a young boy describe horrific abuse at the hands of a caregiver, and counseled a young mother diagnosed with terminal cancer as she made plans for her children." In the face of such tragedy, these people have displayed both great strength and extreme vulnerability, especially when confronted by an increasingly complex legal system.

"These people, our clients, turn to us to protect their rights and interests. We, in turn, support them with a team of professionals that not only includes experienced litigators, but also legal nurse consultants, trained paralegals, and legal assistants. Through hard work, compassion, and an unwavering commitment, we serve our clients in their time of need."

"We have tried and settled many different kinds of medical malpractice and serious personal injury cases, including cases involving, for example, babies injured during childbirth, orthopedic injuries, delayed diagnosis of cancer, failure to timely diagnose a stroke, surgical errors, traumatic brain injuries, wrongful death, and those injured in accidents."

Bill has been certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a certified civil trial attorney. He has also been appointed by the New Jersey Court to serve on various committees and to serve as a Special Ethics Adjudicator in complex matters involving attorney ethics. Bill is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a trustee of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and was recognized by the Morris County Bar Association as the Civil Practice Attorney of the year in 2025.

Outside of the office, Bill has served for well over 20 years on the board of trustees for Matheny Medical and Educational Center and chaired the board from 2019-2024.

Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
