Alex received his J.D. in 2014 from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. While in law school, Alex was a student attorney in the Delaware Civil Clinic where he represented indigent victims of domestic violence at trial. Alex graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2009.
