Daniel R. Bevere, a partner at Piro Zinna Cifelli Paris & Genitempo, is a seasoned trial attorney with substantial jury trial experience. His practice is among the most diverse of any attorney in the litigation department, having successfully tried to conclusion many cases in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice, insurance defense, first party insurance coverage claims and subrogation matters, civil rights and construction litigation, business disputes, foreclosures, lender liability, estate and trust litigation, commercial landlord-tenant matters and criminal defense. Dan also has extensive appellate experience, having argued numerous times before the appeals courts of the State of New Jersey, including the N.J. Supreme Court, as well as the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
He has been a public defender for the Borough of Kenilworth, New Jersey since 1995 and counsel to the Essex Regional Health Commission, prosecuting violations of the State and Regional Air Pollution Control Codes. Dan has been a member of the Bar of the State of New Jersey since 1994. He is currently a member of the Essex County Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyer's Association and the New Jersey Association for Justice.
Prior to joining the firm in 1995, he was an attorney with McCarter & English, where he practiced in the areas of commercial litigation, lender liability, foreclosures and bankruptcy and developed an expertise in the specialized area of asset recovery. He also co-authored an article on lender liability defenses which was published in the New Jersey Law Journal. Dan graduated cum laude in 1991 from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and graduated magna cum laude in 1994 from Seton Hall School of Law.
