    Hired Law firm 2023
2023 My QUINLAN was retained by a member of a HOA and made a complaint to out property manager at the time to cease and desists from writing warnings , that I was acting as authority At that time Feb 2023 we did not have a covenant committee for over 20 years it was up to the property manager to over see, all violations. When I originally walked the grounds in Feb 2023 member retaining Mr QUINLAN member had recieved a violation what the property did send and mailed to the members , Till this day the struture built is still not in compliance no member gets exclusive rights to at least a 5x5 area on common area Beside being covered with patio blocks not allowed over easement (gas, cable water drainage, I tried to explain for sometime a board member can write violations, even a member can submit a violation on our portal Over 2 years later all violations are not being written, even some as liabilities QUINLAN clearly is in violation of RPC 3.4(g) I called the office to see if he was willing to refund my $600 I had to pay my attorney to defend Mr QUINLANS bully letter to our property manager. After calling Mr QUINLAN the last week in April I was told by a male who answered my call and says My QUINLAN was in court n was off on Fri. I called Mon and receptionist (female ) I explained I called last week and got a male answer the phone Tuesday I left another message I explained I talked to a male the end of April she says there is only 2 Female who answer the phone I believe her name was Britney On May 1 I called the office back a male answered, I said Mr QUINLAN he was caught off guard From the messages I left I am guessing her knees why I was calling, very rude after saying my attorney said he is in violation of RPC 3.4(g) he got angry and says you just accused me of wrong doing, Not in exact words Then says I am not his client and hung up After 2 years of having continued issues with my HOA i thought maybe Mr. QUINLAN would make good on my retaining Mr Mann, $600 Since March I was sending E-mails to the property manager a board member can act in all affairs Not till July 2023 did we have a covenant committee I will see if there is a active E-mail address so I can send all correspondence over, Letter from QUINLAN letter from Mann Bylaws not read properly in all areas.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
