Hired Attorney 2024I would say this to anyone who willing to hire this attorney. ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY FROM HIM AND HIS SERVICES! He is absolutely unprofessional when it comes to dealing with real estate deals. Pathetic person in general.

Hired Attorney 2019-2024I have ultimate confidence in Michael DeMiro. He closed on our home 5 years ago, and here we are, years later with no problems. Yes, we had problems with the house, but they were the responsibility of the home inspector, not the lawyer. Every jot and tittle was checked and double-checked. Michael is "old school", as they say. I like that. That may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's exactly what I was looking for, and exactly what I got.

Hired Attorney 2011-2015Michael DeMiro JR is possibly the worst lawyer in the whole state of New Jersey and quite possibly could be the worst lawyer in the whole country!!! He never explained in any detail of the major issue on the property I bought with having a easement where we had told him on countless occasions we wanted to put a pool. He just crushed my wife and my two little girls dreams of having a pool. Now not only can we not put a pool in we have major restrictions from even putting a patio in. This all should have been explained to us by the person you trust the most your lawyer. In this case Michael failed us all and broke the hearts of my kids and my wife and my property is worth less due to all these restrictions. The worst lawyer ever!!!!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
