Attorney Information
Overview
Lisa joined Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP as Of Counsel in 2026. She focuses her practice primarily on workers’ compensation, representing injured workers throughout Central New York and the Finger Lakes region. With more than two decades of legal experience, Lisa brings a steady, practical approach to helping clients navigate complex claims and protect their ability to move forward after a workplace injury.
Before entering the legal profession, Lisa worked as a Registered Nurse at Auburn Memorial Hospital. Her clinical background continues to inform her legal work, providing a strong foundation for understanding medical records, treatment plans, and how injuries affect a person’s ability to work and maintain quality of life. She also has experience in the medical field as a nurse case manager and previously handled legal defense matters for insurance carriers, giving her valuable perspective on both sides of workers’ compensation cases.
Lisa earned her Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse. She is admitted to practice in New York and before the Bar of the United States Supreme Court.
