Brooklyn Airline Accidents Lawyer
Overview
Top Notch Personal Injury Attorney :
David Lozner is cofounder and managing partner of Lozner & Mastropietro. In addition to being a top-notch lawyer and negotiator, David spends his most gratifying hours at the law firm satisfying his clients' legal and individual needs.
The time following an injury is especially difficult for clients; typically, they have been harmed not only physically, but also financially and emotionally. David provides clients and their families with personal and professional guidance, counsel and support as they face uncertainty and fear after a serious accident or the death of a loved one.
David, born in Ukraine, immigrated with his family to the United States in 1981. After graduation from University at Buffalo Law School, David worked in the legal department of a major insurance company. He handled countless automobile accidents, lead poisoning injuries, premises accidents and construction accidents. Later, David became the managing attorney for the Brooklyn office of one of New York State's largest plaintiff's personal injury law firms.
But David's dream was to have his own firm. He had a vision of creating a law firm where clients are always treated with old-fashioned caring, respect and service, and where the lawyers are among the most successful and the most admired in the courtrooms and around the negotiating tables.
A decade later, his vision has become a reality. Lozner & Mastropietro is a haven for very satisfied clients. One of David's secrets to success is knowing which cases to fight until the bitter end in front of a jury and which to settle. It's an art, he says. Given his winning record, it is one he has clearly mastered.
At times my clients will ask me, Why do you recommend settling my case?' I tell them that artful negotiation can sometimes win them the same award that could be won at trial - except years sooner. The art is knowing which cases to settle and which cases to present to a trial jury. I know.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
