Attorney Information

Overview

Ryan Haggerty has lived almost his entire life in Buffalo. Before joining O’Brien & Ford Buffalo Car Accident and Personal Injury Lawyers, Ryan spent 14 years as a prosecutor in the Erie County District Attorney’s Office, which included assignments in the Homicide Bureau and the Special Victims Bureau, as well as serving as chief of the Narcotics & Intelligence Bureau.

During that time, Ryan handled some of the most difficult and high-profile cases, including the mass shooting at Tops on Jefferson Avenue; the “Trilogy,” a series of homicides committed by three co-conspirators for insurance proceeds in Tonawanda and Buffalo; and numerous jury trials against the worst sexual offenders imaginable.

In all, Ryan has taken 22 felony indictments to a guilty verdict. Prior to finishing his undergraduate degree and enrolling in law school, Ryan enlisted in the United States Army, completing a combat deployment as a machine gunner in 2004.

He currently resides in the city of Buffalo with his two teenage children and their two cats. Go Bills
