Attorney Information

Overview

Ken Bobrow has been at Felt Evans LLP since 1987. He is a partner in the firm, representing clients in civil litigation, including personal injury actions arising out of motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, labor law and products liability claims. He also handles matters arising out of real property and business disputes. Every matter Ken handles is important to him and is given the maximum thought and effort as he seeks to obtain the best possible result for his clients.

Ken received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980 from New York University. He then attended Syracuse University College of Law and graduated, cum laude, in 1983. While at Syracuse, Ken was a member of the Law Review and Justinian Society. He is admitted to the New York State Bar, the Northern District of New York Bar and the United States Second Circuit Bar.

Ken believes that it is important to give back to the legal and local communities. He is a member of the Oneida County Bar Association, having been an Officer for numerous years and then serving as its President in 2016. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association and served many years as Fifth District Representative for the Tort Insurance & Compensation Law and Trial Lawyers Sections. Ken has also been invited to lecture by the New York State Bar Association, Oneida County Bar Association and other groups regarding Trial Practice. He also served as Associate Editor of the TICL Journal for many years.

Ken regularly volunteers his time to the Legal Aide Society and has also received recognition for providing pro bono services for the Northern District of New York. He also serves on Alternative Dispute Resolution panels for the Northern District of New York and the New York Fifth Judicial District.

Outside of the practice of law, Ken is married to his wife, Pat, who he met while in law school, and who is also a member of the firm. He has four children, 2 grandchildren, 5 grand-dogs and 2 grand-cats. He is a sports fan and enjoys rooting for most of the New York teams (Mets, Jets, Knicks, Rangers) who have caused him little but grief over the course of his life. He still has hope, however, that next season will be different.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
