    Hired Law firm 2009
Hello, my name is Santiago, I am a Judge for criminal cases (mostly homicides and drugs) in Medellín, Colombia for 18 years and was prosecutor for 8 years. I had to quit because corrupted bosses and was sent to Jungle in Putumayo for almost 2 years and god saved my life. when I get back became Judge (would like to be still a prosecutor). My older sister was entramped and extradited in 2009 to NY and she was condemned to 16 years in jail. We had no money and asked for probonus lawyer and was Terrence P Buckley. My sister was cheated and signed not speaking a word in english and pleaded guilty. I was also cheated by them. it was a plan from Bonnie Klapper and liars inmates. A kingping named Hugo Cartagena told her loved her and she was single and happy to have a man after being more than 50 years old. She was candid and always cared for our aunts and uncle and poor and elder and poor people and developed burning carer syndrome and Wendy´s syndrome. When I left the Court stunned was waiting for me Terrence P. Buckley with a detective with a french last name working for Bonnie Klapper. He told me she had to testify agains a kingpin with our same second name, and told me I could also help doing undercover operations for them againts colombians,. They wanted me became an informant!! I have been threatened a lot of times year by year, have seen 15 of my detectives who were my friends and several prosecutors killed, my witnesses killed and I paying some expenses to widows and orphans not telling to my wife because the budget is low, seized drugs with US agencies, and they wanted me to act like a criminal! The counselor did nothing for my sister or opposed to Bonnie Klapper. Now I have the Covid-19 and maybe cancer in stomach and I had to tell it, so people knows that some people look like heroes and honest professionals but acts lying to you, destroying your family and your career because you will be in a mental prison like your sister for the same years. Thank you for hearing.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
