Overview

Stephanie is an associate attorney at Russo, Karl, Widmaier & Cordano PLLC. She received her Juris Doctorate from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where she was a Merit Scholarship recipient and earned placement on the Dean's List. While in law school, Stephanie served as the Notes and Comments Editor of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel (ACTEC) Law Journal. She was also a member of the Trusts and Estates Law Society, a student advisor in the Pro Se Legal Assistance Program, and a student mediator at Hofstra's Center for Separating and Divorcing Parents.

Prior to law school, Stephanie graduated summa cum laude from Stony Brook University, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a concentration in American government, law, and public policy. While at SBU, she interned at the New York State Supreme Court and served as Vice President of the SBU Chapter of Peace Action. She also earned membership in the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society and worked as a teaching assistant. Prior to SBU, Stephanie graduated magna cum laude from the Honors Program at Suffolk County Community College. She was a member of the SCCC Honor's Club and Women's Soccer Team. She also received a number of honors by earning placement on the Dean's List and membership in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and Phi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.

Stephanie practices in the Trusts and Estates and Elder Law departments of Russo, Karl, Widmaier & Cordano PLLC.. She specializes in the preparation of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, living wills, codicils, and trust amendments. She also handles matters related to Medicaid eligibility, estate and asset protection planning, and estate administration.
