Terrible firm, would not recommend Extremely Incompetent attorney, THEY didn’t realize the sale was a short sale until 4 days before closing. Purchase contract was signed 6 months prior. Made me lose tons of money, my dream house and my health. Stay away!!!! I was the purchasing party and this firm was the seller’s attorney. They dared to bully me for my bank commitment while they didn’t do their due diligence. Threatened to steal my deposit if I didn’t have my commitment the next day, which I happened to produce. The sale fell through because of their incompetence, lack of due diligence and all around carelessness. ALL AROUND TERRIBLE border line scammers!

Mr cox thinks you life a joke I want to him begging for help cause I was being abused and terrorize instead helped my abuser didn’t tell me he was considered himself that persons attorney but when I had him removed for conflict of interest cause I spoke to him of what was going on even showed and played him proof he turned his back to me then referred that person to his sister Karyn villar who did deformation of me cause the lies told to her even mr cox her brother could have been a honest brother/attorney and point out her clients lies since he knew me many years ago and the situations he had me help that client like I am to do for others then get stabbed in the heart. Sadly their unprofessionism and when I was legally able to reach out to both them of proof they the court and the police were played by that client for that client financial gain. Mr cox could have told me know what ok I will get the sheriff to that persons house and that he would be there as proof to see that client lied they don’t have my belonging no less then the person would have he and the sheriff and not have to see me

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
