Overview
With a legal career spanning more than four decades, Eileen Hoffner brings extensive experience in litigation, with a concentration in motion and appellate practice and legal research. Her practice has focused on drafting motions, appellate briefs, and memoranda of law, as well as conducting in-depth research and analysis on a broad range of complex legal issues.
Eileen earned her undergraduate degree from Tufts University and her Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law. She also obtained a Master of Business Administration in Management from New York University Stern School of Business, combining legal knowledge with a strong foundation in business and management principles. She is admitted to practice in New York and is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Prior to joining GLRR, Eileen worked as an associate at well-known civil litigation firms in the New York area, where she handled complex personal injury matters from both the plaintiff and defense perspectives. Her experience representing plaintiffs provides her with unique insight into plaintiff strategy which provides valuable perspective in the evaluation and development of defense strategy.
In addition to her legal practice, Eileen has shared her knowledge through teaching positions at St. John's University School of Paralegal Studies, where she taught courses in Introduction to Paralegal Studies and Family Law. She has also worked as an editor and proofreader for a local newspaper and individual clients, further reflecting her strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Eileen is an active member of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Nassau County Bar Association, and the New York Criminal & Civil Courts Bar Association.
