Zachary D. Rosenbaum - New York City, NY

Zachary (Zac) Rosenbaum is an attorney in the Los Angeles office of the Derek Smith Law Group, PLLC. His practice is dedicated to employment law and civil rights litigation, with a particular focus on advocating for individuals who have experienced workplace discrimination, harassment, or wrongful termination. Zac also represents clients in disputes involving executive compensation, including unpaid bonuses, commissions, and equity arrangements.

Zac earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University in 2019. During his undergraduate studies, he served as a student volunteer at the university library, competed as a member of the SDSU Triathlon Team, and completed an internship at a prominent Silicon Valley technology company.

He received his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis School of Law, where he actively participated in Moot Court, Mock Trial, and the school’s Volunteer Patent Clinic. While pursuing his legal education, Zac also raced for the UC Davis Triathlon Team and qualified for Collegiate Nationals.

Zac began his legal career at a global law firm, where he initially focused on patent prosecution before transitioning into broader intellectual property and commercial litigation matters. After several years in large firm practice, Zac joined the Derek Smith Law Group to align his work more closely with his personal values, representing individuals rather than institutions, and advocating for those whose voices are too often marginalized. He takes pride in guiding clients through complex legal challenges with empathy, precision, and purpose.

Outside of his legal work, Zac is a competitive endurance athlete who regularly competes in marathons, ultramarathons, and Ironman triathlons.
