Scammer MaryJeanette Dee and daughter Katherine Dee should never be allowed to practice law. MaryJeanette said advice that was illegal. I was sitting there with my mouth hanging, shocked at what she told me to do. Was she kidding, no she wasn't. Katherine Dee, the nepotism intern, was dressed in a short skirt and wearing too much makeup. She looked like a street walker. I don't know where these people come from, is this a real law firm, I think not.

    Hired Attorney 2023
MaryJeanette Dee is incompetent. I made a file of detailed documents regarding my case. She said she went through them in detail. During the hearing, she fouled it up. MaryJeanette Dee didn't read my file. She just improvised in front of the judge, looking like a clown. This is inexcusable, especially since she claims to have decades of experience. I did research and found out that her daughter Katherine Dee is a well known racist in the area of Wynnewood (see the link below from guys who've had problems with her). Not only that, but Katherine Dee is a Penn State student, where she has a side gig as a "pro" if you know what I mean. She calls herself Katherine Dee-Cup, or Kitty Dee-Cup. Are these people serious about a law firm? Wonder why they didn't research MaryJeanette Dee's daughter prior to hiring this woman. What kind of woman has a daughter who parades at Penn State University as "Katherine Dee-Cup".

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
