I don’t even know where to begin with my experience. If I could give no stars , I would. I went to Steven in the past and Figured I’d go back to him again for a new case as well as recommend my in-laws who were involved in a hit and run accident. Everything was going great until Steven secretary began to leave unprofessional and rude voice mails on my sister in laws phone. She called her the day before yesterday and due to work she hadn’t had a chance to call back up until today. This secretary kept pushing surgery on her when her doctor advised its not necessary. Due to our business relationship as well as I being the one whom recommended her to him I reached out to him to let him know that my in-law was feeling uncomfortable. He responded to me and asked me to call the office. As soon as I called his secretary told me she don’t need clients like us and that I’m not nice for sending a message regarding her actions! I asked her to put Steven on. He was unavailable. Long story short Steven was no better than her. He said I don't fu****** need clients like you. Oh so we’re cursing? That’s progressional! He said i give him These extravegent cases that bring little money and cost a lot of time He said my sister in law who’s a physiologist booked with clients back to back should’ve called yesterday morning. We’re sorry she couldn’t get back until a day later. I have the voice mail recordings and text messages Incase they try to refute this review! I tried be loyal to someone who thinks very little of his clients unless they’re getting surgery or bringing in big bucks. He cursed me out and hung up on me! You’re better off going to Michael lamonsoff . He’s a great lawyer or values all his clients no matter how big or small of a case!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
