Overview
Jennifer is an intellectual property attorney who works closely with clients to develop and execute strategies for achieving their intellectual property-related business objectives. She regularly negotiates and drafts complex intellectual property agreements, works with clients to build their trademark portfolios, and enforces and defends her clients’ trademark, copyright and other intellectual property rights.
In 2022, 2023 and 2024, Jennifer spoke at PLI’s (The Practicing Law Institute’s) IP Issues in Business Transactions program about “How to Create a Real World Licensing Program”. She has also written articles for PLI’s publications The Chronicle and The Current on topics including brand licensing and trademark enforcement using AI and machine learning.
Before starting her own firm, Jennifer founded and managed the intellectual property department at a mid-sized law firm for ten years. She also was a partner at Pryor Cashman LLP and an associate at Reed SmithLLP. Having her own practice makes it possible for Jennifer to be responsive to her clients’ needs and to practice in alignment with her values.
Jennifer was recognized by Super Lawyers for Intellectual Property in 2020-23 and has an AV® Peer Review Rating in the legal directory Martindale Hubbell, indicating that she has attained the highest peer recognition rating for ethical standards and legal ability.
Jennifer is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA). Previously, Jennifer served on INTA’s Legislation and Regulation Committee, US Subcommittee (2012-2014), the Trademark Office Practices Committee, US Patent and Trademark Office Subcommittee (2010-2012) and the Pacific/Canada TMO Relations Subcommittee (2007-2009). She is a past chair of a task force of UJA Federation New York.
She maintains a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) designation from the International Association for Privacy Professionals (IAPP), one of the world’s preeminent credentials in the business of privacy, meaning that she attained a strong understanding of U.S. privacy laws and regulations. Jennifer was previously the Co-Chair of the Licensing Executives Society’s High Tech Sector’s Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Subcommittee and the Chair of the Privacy and Publicity Rights Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Intellectual Property Law, Specialized IP Division.
Jennifer graduated from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where she served as Managing Editor and Associate Editor of the Touro Law Review. She received a B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University. Jennifer is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and New Jersey and the courts of the Southern & Eastern Districts of New York.

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
