Victor Pasternack - New York, NY

Mr. Pasternack is a senior partner concentrating in compensation, personal injury, social security disability and other related matters. Mr. Pasternack has had over two decades of experience in the field of workers' compensation and personal injury law. He received his B.A. degree from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in 1970 and his J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1975. He has been a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association since 1978 and has served on its Board of Directors since 1987. He has been elected Deputy Treasurer, Treasurer and Secretary of the Association. In 1988 he received the Distinguished Service Award of the Association. Mr. Pasternack is also a founding member of the Injured Workers' Bar Association and has chaired the Workers' Compensation Committee of the Brooklyn Bar Association and has also served as the New York State Captain for Workers' Compensation for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is a Past President of the New York State Workers' Compensation Bar Association and a member of the Workplace Injury Litigation Group and the New York State Bar Association, Insurance, Personal Injury and Compensation Law Section, Workers' Compensation Division. Mr. Pasternack has lectured widely on workers' compensation topics, particularly before groups of trial lawyers, and has been an adjunct professor of the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations. He has also lectured before the Law Judges of the Workers' Compensation Board. For the past sixteen years he has been chosen to be the reporter and lecturer for the chapter on workers' compensation at the "Decisions" program of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and has also lectured for the Practicing Law Institute. He is also a member of the New York State Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health and has conducted workshops for union members through its workers' compensation committee conferences. He is presently actively engaged in the litigation of a wide range of workers' compensation matters.
