Beth and Ally were both fantastic with the sale of our old house and the purchase of our new home. They were very attentive to all of our needs during the process of our sale, and when issues arose, they were quick to remedy any problems to ensure that the transaction was completed in a timely manner. When we purchased our new home two weeks later, I must say it was the smoothest closing I have ever experienced. Beth and Ally were true professionals and I would recommend them for any of your real estate legal needs.

My wife and I used Northrop and Stradar for both the sale of our house and the purchase our new home. Beth and Ally were amazing throughout the process. It truly felt as if they were as invested, in the entire buying and selling process, as we were. Communication is so important to us and when it came to that they excelled. They worked incredibly well with our realtor and mortgage broker. They consistently went above and beyond for us, responding to every single question we had as soon as we reached out to them. I guarantee you will not receive a more personable or professional experience anywhere else.

She is super responsive, always available and provided amazing referrals. We were able to close in less then 4 weeks. I can't imagine a better experience and highly recommend !

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
