Overview
Katherine received her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School and is licensed to practice in New York State. As a Hudson Valley native, Katherine believes that those in the Hudson Valley and surrounding counties deserve the highest quality representation from a local firm with local attorneys that understand the day-to-day realities of the people in their communities.
Katherine is the Managing Partner at Dennis Kenny Law. She has worked in all facets of the business over the course of her more than fifteen years with the firm and has dedicated the entirety of her career as an attorney to helping injured workers receive the benefits they deserve under the law. She takes seriously the firm’s core belief that clients be treated as humans rather than a case number, and she makes sure that everyone in the office upholds that belief daily. As Dennis’ niece Katherine worked side by side with him for years to make sure that each and every case was handled to get the best possible results for every client. “Making sure that people can recover financially from injuries or disability and return to the lives they love is what drives me to do the best I can for every single person that trusts us with their case.”
Katherine believes it is very important to be involved and give back to her community and maintains active roles in many organizations in her town, including school PTO President, Little League Treasurer, and Vice President of a local travel baseball program which she helped to found. When she isn’t working or volunteering you can find her spending time with her family which most often involves cheering on her boys at one of their many sporting events.

Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.
How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
