Overview
Ron had a long and distinguished career in public service before joining the firm in 1986. He was Deputy Chief in the Supreme Court Bureau, Major Offense Bureau and Narcotics Bureau of the Kings County District Attorney’s office.
Since joining the firm Ron has successfully handled numerous cases with substantial settlements. Some of his clients have been awarded judgments ranging from $500,000 to $1,000,000. He has also obtained two verdicts in excess of a million dollars. Ron is well known and admired for his outstanding work on a case in Washington County, where he obtained the largest verdict amount ever awarded in that county…more than $1, 400,000.
Ron’s dedication and diligence on difficult cases is exemplified by his current work on behalf of a teenage girl. Her vehicle was stuck in the rear by a fast moving vehicle and went airborne, pinning her upside down inside her car. She has undergone very difficult and risky brain surgery as a result of the accident and Ron is working to get her an appropriate settlement.
Ron is a member of the New York State and Orange County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Federal Court in Southern, Eastern and Northern district, Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court.
Ron is an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys photography especially shooting landscapes and sunsets. He loves to paint, loves to garden and has taught art classes.
Verdicts, Arbitrations, Mediations and Settlements
$34.3 million verdict won from a Philadelphia jury for a Decatur, IL client, who claims the prolonged use of two drugs manufactured by Wyeth and parent company Pfizer resulted in her breast cancer.
$2.3 million settlement for a motor vehicle accident in Ulster county for plaintiff that suffered brain injury. The case was settled during trial.
$1.9 million verdict for a construction accident in Warren County. Highest verdict for this County.
795K Settlement before Trial—awarded to a 66 yr old Dutchess County construction worker who fell on the job resulting in an injury to the knee requiring multiple surgeries, culminating a total knee replacement. Injured party is permanently disabled from working.
550K Settlement before Trial-was secured through mediation on behalf of a 60 yr old Orange County woman who was passenger in a 2 car head on motor vehicle accident. As a result, the injured party sustained 2 fractured spinal vertebra along with a fracture to her sternum and rib.
200K Settlement before Trial—was agreed to with a 60 yr old Orange County woman who was a passenger in a motor vehicle accident in an intersection collision resulting in multiple spinal injuries.
300K Settled—on behalf of a 3l yr old Broome County man who while on the job fell from a ladder at a height greater than 10 feet from the ground. As a result, the injured party underwent spinal surgery.
