Overview
Patricia is an experienced civil litigation attorney representing survivors of sexual assault, child sexual abuse, sex and labor trafficking, and gender violence under the NYC Gender Motivated Violence Act, the Child Victims Act, and federal and state common law. She works to hold institutions accountable for negligently enabling, aiding, or failing to take appropriate measures to prevent these violations whether in the workplace, at school, university, camp, foster care, or any other business or institutional environment. Patricia has successfully settled numerous claims involving high-profile individuals in a position of authority or where an imbalance of power exists. Patricia is highly skilled in utlizing her knowledge of trauma neurobiology to interpret victims' behavior in the aftermath of violations, assess claims and damages through that lens, and minimize re-traumatization in the legal process. She works to achieve accountability and justice for the harms endured by her survivor clients, supporting them to stand up for themselves as they heal from the trauma of their experience.
Patricia has an extensive background in employment dicrimination law, litigating and settling serious sexual harassment, disability, and race-based discrimination cases.
As a passionate civil rights advocate, Patricia has offered her services pro bono on behalf of immigrants in U.S. border cities.
