Frederick (Rick) Alimonti, a practicing lawyer since 1990, perhaps best known for his expertise in aviation litigation, founded Alimonti Mediation Services in 2012. His mediation approach is hybrid facilitative and evaluative, and he takes great pride in the work he puts into the mediation process long before the mediation session begins, including studying the pleadings and submissions and extensive pre-mediation teleconferences with the parties. These teleconferences have proven to be invaluable opportunities to work with the parties and develop a path toward resolution and a general rapport. They generate momentum. Rick's work ethic before, during, and after the mediation is his most-cited distinguishing factor from other mediation practices.

He has been an active member of the Mediation Panel of the Southern District of New York since 2011 and was an inaugural member of the SDNY Mediation Advisory Committee. He is proud to have received his initial mediation training directly from this prestigious Court. In 2022, Rick was appointed as the Chair-Elect for the ABA TIPS Section Dispute Resolution Committee.
