Consulted Law firm 2012-2021Paul Bidwell has been stalking and harassing a stroke victim for 9 years now. He represents the ex wife of the victim and she is a felon with a criminal record. I became involved with the victim after the divorce and Bidwell has stalked me Subpoenaed my personal bank accounts taken pictures of my personal property and has terrorized us. He has subpoena medical record’s because he thought the stroke was faked. The judge has made us hand over medical records every 6 months to this monster to review. He knows the damage the stroke did and the brain damage the stroke victim suffers everyday but shows no mercy at all. He sent discovery questions signed by a buncombe County Judge asking very personal questions to a stroke victim that has brain damage and can not recall any of the questions being asked of him. This lead to a major panic attack lasting over 2 hours and didn’t recover for over a week from the trauma. This is a very evil man and should have his license to practice law taken away from him. We have been living in fear for our safety and have had to leave the State from being followed by his P.I. Always watching us. This man is corrupt and dangerous.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
