Christian Connolly - Asheville, NC

Christian came to Asheville, North Carolina in 1999 to attend Warren Wilson College, where he graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Integrative Studies, with a focus on Environmental Advocacy. Living in the Swannanoa Valley and working as a carpenter throughout Western North Carolina, he recognized that his background provided him with opportunities that others would likely never have the privilege to pursue.

While attending law school at the Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island, his pursuit of serving in the public's interest led him to join the school's immigration law clinic, which served indigent and deserving immigrants in their need to remain united with their U.S. Citizen family members in the United States. For the eight years after graduating law school in 2011, he served his fellow community members as an immigration attorney, which allowed him to help hundreds of children and their families remain at home to continue contributing to their local communities. In 2014, his interest in the protection of human rights led to service as an Asylum Officer with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where he adjudicated refugee claims for people fleeing their home countries as the result of brutal violence and persecution.

Christian brings this dedication to serving his neighbors to Grimes Teich Anderson, where Personal Injury and Social Security Disability are the focus of his practice. He understands that bad things happen to good people and that those people need to be represented by attorneys who know how to protect their interests and who understand the complex legal issues and motivations guiding powerful insurance companies and governmental agencies. One of his favorite aspects of lawyering is being able to explain complex issues in a more simple way to clients, so they understand what is happening.

Christian lives in Mars Hill, NC with his wife Lorienne and their dog Sythia. He can be found hiking, biking, motorcycling or kayaking anywhere in the Southern Appalachian mountains-a place he considers paradise and is fortunate to call home.
